Sandwich Sliders

Updated: Mar 15

Ditch the mayo and mustard, these cute little sandwiches have a unique blend of flavors and are perfect for a party or anyplace where you need to bring something easy to serve. I love how the sturdy arugula lettuce adds bright green color and a spicy little kick. Mix and match using the meats and cheeses you enjoy the most and be sure to include a vegetarian option when serving for a crowd.

Sandwich Sliders

Ham Sliders:

8 mini-buns or slider rolls

1/2 lb thinly sliced ham

4 oz garlic and herb goat cheese, softened

4 - 5 tbsp Fig Orange Spread

1 cup baby arugula (rinsed and dried with paper towels)

Finely diced dill pickles (or dill pickle relish)

Roast Beef and Cheddar Sliders:

8 mini-buns or slider rolls

1/2 lb thinly sliced roast beef

6 - 8 thin slices, cheddar cheese

4 oz garlic and herb goat cheese, softened

3 - 4 tbsp creamy horseradish

1 cup baby arugula (rinsed and dried with paper towels)

Vegetarian Sliders:

8 mini-buns or slider rolls

8-10 shaved parmesan cheese slices

4 oz garlic and herb goat cheese, softened

4 - 5 tbsp Fig Orange Spread

1 cup baby arugula (rinsed and dried with paper towels)

Warm the garlic and herb goat cheese in the microwave on low power until softened. Spread goat cheese on bottom slider bun. Add meats and/or cheeses, then the baby arugula, diced dill pickles (for ham sliders) and top with either Fig Orange Spread or horseradish (for the roast beef sliders).

Makes 24 slider sandwiches.

I love these little sandwiches! The flavors are a nice surprise for your hungry guests - there's lots of wow factor because the blend of flavors is not what we are accustomed to with a sandwich. I like to use Dalmatia Fig Orange Spread, but any orange/fig jam will work. If you can't find slider buns, dinner rolls are a good substitution. These are perfect for an office party (I took them to my office's holiday gathering - big hit!) or if you want to share a dish that doesn't need to be kept warm on the buffet line.
